So now suffer. As you forgot the meeting of this your Day of Doom, so have We forgotten you. Now taste the everlasting punishment for your deeds.
Explanation of 32:14*
English Translation of Al-Quran [32].Surah As-Sajdah [The Prostration] Ayat 14. Then taste you (the torment of the Fire) because of your forgetting the Meeting of this Day of yours, (and) surely! Allah too will forget you, so taste you the abiding torment for what you used to do. Tafseer of Surah Al Sajdah (The Prostration) Ayat 14. "Taste ye then – for ye forgot the Meeting of this Day of yours, and We too will forget you – taste ye the Penalty of Eternity for your (evil) deeds!" Cf. 7:51. "Forget" here is in the sense of "to ignore deliberately, to reject with scorn". In the sense of mistake or defect of knowledge it is inapplicable to the All-Perfect Being,
for we are expressly told, "My Lord never errs, nor forgets": 20:52.
